With its headquarters, and the tallest statue in the world, Statue of Unity and one of the most beautiful Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal, co-existing in the same country, Divine Instrument is an NGO located in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. We are based in Dehradun, which has many valleys, and which also is one of the two capitals of the state during summer (and Garrison for winter, if you were curious).
We derive the ideology and spirit of our NGO right form this land, which is very often known as Devbhoom for there are numerous pilgrimage sites like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Dhari Devi, Tapkeshwar, Yamunotri, Haridwar, Rishikesh to name a few.
We are trying to rekindle the lost hope for beings that can't speak for themselves and are lost, confused, injured, hungry and have been forced to become stray.
From its inception to becoming a reality, Divine Instrument has been participating in various small and large activities of sending love and hope, sharing food, spiritual knowledge, sincere sympathies, deepest gratitude and ardent love through workshops.
Either you are waiting for someone to make the world a beautiful place and never see it happen or you can work towards making it beautiful and live in it, the latter is what keeps us on the edge to push harder to bring about change that impacts lives. And we are doing so by transforming one family at a time by empowering the women of each family.
Dehradun, being a tourist spot, benefits local businesses but on the other hand, it damages our natural resources. We have been silent spectators for too long and finally decided to take the matter in our hands to help the situation through river cleaning projects, forestation projects that impact humans, wild habitat and nature itself.
